     I’m Kindal… co-creator of This Time Fitness.

     Those were dark times, but I used to be 32 pounds overweight and I made every mistake you can make when it came to getting fit and losing weight.

I became and exercise addict and ran on the treadmill for two hours a day… everyday.

I through if exercise made you lose weight, then obviously the more I exercise the more weight I should lose.

I experimented with anorexia believing eating little to nothing was the only solution.
I tried a body building style of workout… I tried running like crazy… I did it all.

     But it was simple strength training. A functional, movement based style of strength training that saved me.

     It was strength training that made me want to become a personal trainer and not go into med-school. I vowed to get as many women into real – functional strength training as possible.

     This is when I started training a small group of women in West Ashley and over the last few years, it’s grown into two studios.

The instructor is phenomenal. The ladies are strong, encouraging and fun to be with. You are pushed just hard enough.

Also, when the the push needs to be turned into a situation where slow and and steady…you get that.

Great group of trainers and members. Everyone is encouraging and wants you to succeed. There is no pretense here.

We are all at different levels of fitness and the trainers help you get the most out of your workout and your nutrition. This is not a shiny big box gym. There are no mirrors to watch yourself work out.

This is a place where you work hard and you sweat. They will know your name, they will push you, and they will be truly happy for you when you succeed.

First of all, let me start by saying I’ve never worked out a day in my life. But, a health scare made me finally decide to get my life in order.

I was on Facebook one day and one of my friends had “liked” this page so I decided to take a look. What caught my attention was the fact that they offered a free visit to one of their boot camp classes, just so you can get a feel for the workout, atmosphere, etc.

Then I learned that they offered a beginners class!! Truth be told, the free class I attended totally killed me (thanks Kindal), but I was determined not to quit. Then, I met Lynette (she’s my Handler, lol) and it’s been on and poppin ever since. I’m proud to say that I’ve lost over 37 pounds and am down 3 sizes since I started eating healthier and working out on August 1, 2016.

The encouragement and positivity CANNOT be beat at This Time Fitness. I’ve met some wonderful women who, rather they know it or not (they probably don’t because I don’t talk much) inspire me both in and outside of the gym.

Just what I was looking for, fun, challenging, and encouraging atmosphere. TTF is fantastic at helping me be successful outside the workout too, really focused on lifestyle changes to help you meet your personal goals.

Workouts are accommodating (both more challenging, and less if needed), lots of options and I have never been to one that was boring. The studio has a great selection of gear and equipment available and a variety of class times for convenience.

Staff and patrons are very welcoming and without judgement. Great for all fitness levels. I highly recommend.
